So I made an action that creates the jpgs from the NEFs. Have you installed a windows add on like FastPictureViewer Codec to generate Thumbnails for RAW files There are other addons besides that one that can do the job. My other systems XP Pro, Server 2003, all work fine. I have the new 4.6 RAW converter from Adobe. My PS CS3 cant process the raw images from my D300.

There is now free/donationware version (for personal use) of 32-bit and 64-bit codecs for many popular RAW formats. I do not photograph in jpeg+raw so i have no preview of the file i am opening.I have a few thousand photo's in different files and a thumbnail is a much easyer way of browsing to the correct photo.I tried adobe bridge, but no thumbnails are visible other than jpeg.
